CM Punk Calls John Cena His Wrestling Soulmate
CM Punk says John Cena is his wrestling soulmate and calls their match from the February 25, 2013 episode of WWE Raw his favorite of all time.
CM Punk has had numerous great rivalries throughout his career, which spans over two decades. Whether it’s Chris Hero in the early days of his career, Samoa Joe in ROH, MJF in AEW, or John Cena in WWE, Punk has shared the ring with many wrestling greats. However, he’s calling Cena his squared circle soulmate.
In a recent GQ YouTube video, Punk stated that he believes the match he had with Cena on Raw in February 2013 is his favorite from his career. He praised the connection he shares with Cena and encouraged fans to watch the match.
“Number one with a bullet, myself versus John Cena. Heading into WrestleMania 29, I believe. The winner got the illustrious spot of wrestling The Rock at WrestleMania. Well, I lost. Big fucking deal. John Cena is my wrestling soulmate. I had excellent chemistry with him this night. The crowd was electric. It’s a real fun time. You should go watch it.”
