IYO Sky: I Trust Asuka, I Hope She Will Respect Me

IYO Sky talks her tension with Asuka ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza.

Over the past month or so on WWE programming, tensions between Asuka and IYO Sky have risen in the wake of Asuka trying to help IYO in her chase for the WWE Women’s title and Asuka’s frustration regarding IYO’s friendship with Rhea Ripley. Now, heading into Sky’s match with Stephanie Vaquer at the Premium Live Event, IYO reiterated that she trusts Asuka.

While speaking to Love Wrestling in a new interview ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza, IYO was asked about her recent tension with Asuka, noting that she trusts her former Damage CTRL stable-mate.

“Well, I told Asuka I can do it by myself. She says she’s fine. So which means- I think I know her personality. I trust her. I trust Asuka. She might not come tomorrow because I understand and she understand me. She will respect me. I think so. I hope so.”
