Stevens and Strong have a history that dates back to 2007, when they were both in Ring of Honor. They’ve wrestled in a total of nine singles matches against each other. Their last bout was in 2010 at ROH Civil Warfare, and Strong got the victory.
The upcoming DPW show will be Strong’s return to the promotion. He last wrestled for them in 2024 at ‘Limit Break’, where he defeated Fuminori Abe.
Stevens returned to in-ring competition in 2025 after retiring in 2020.
