Kyle Fletcher feels that people began to understand him at AEW Full Gear 2024.
In 2024, Kyle Fletcher would take a major step up in his position within AEW’s roster, as he would begin a blood feud with former friend Will Ospreay on AEW television. This would lead to several matches between the two, including a singles match at AEW Full Gear that Fletcher would walk away with the victory from.
While speaking to Forbes in a new interview, Fletcher spoke about how he feels people began to understand him during his bout with Ospreay.
“It was an instance when people started to understand me, and I felt comfortable in front of those fans. When I was in the ring, sometimes you get those moments where everything’s going exactly how you pictured it. The crowd is absolutely into it, and you get a moment in between some stuff. You’re lying there on the ground, just listening to everything, you feel the vibe in the room, and you kind of just realize yourself, ‘Oh, we got something special going on here.’ I had that moment in the ring, and then afterwards, the reaction from everyone backstage and to everything online, all of that combined made me go, ‘We did good. We made it.’”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Fletcher previewed his upcoming AEW World Title challenge vs Hangman Adam Page at AEW All Out 2025. You can read more about that here.
