Konnan Hopes Dominik Mysterio Wins AAA Mega Championship
Dominik Mysterio is set to challenge Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide Las Vegas on September 12.
Ahead of the event, Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture spoke with Konnan and asked him about Dominik receiving a babyface reaction when he went to Mexico for AAA.
“Wrestlers are known for not selling shit. I was talking with Rey about this the other day. Dominik doesn’t sell anything, and I mean anything. When he got that pop in Mexico, he was very giddy. He was in the back like, ‘I can’t believe this. This is awesome. This is great.’ I was thinking, ‘You’re marking out, aren’t you?’ I hope they give him the title. I think he would be super over the moon. You never know. That’s not my decision. I think he’s ready. I think people want to see him as a champion. Nobody got a bigger reaction than him in Mexico,” said Konnan.
Konnan said El Grande Americano got the second biggest reaction in Mexico.
