Sting Calls AEW Revolution Moment With His Sons Highlight Of 40-Year Career
Sting reflects on the magical moment of seeing his sons in different eras of his face paint for his final match at AEW Revolution 2024.
Sting’s final match saw him team up with Darby Allin to face the Young Bucks, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson, for the AEW World Tag Team Titles. The match was violent, featuring glass, ladders, and more. There was even interference from Ric Flair. However, the sentimental moment of the match saw Sting’s two sons, Garrett and Steven Borden, appear in their father’s face paint, representing different eras of his career.
Now reflecting on the moment in a new interview with Justin Dhillon of The Wrestling Classic, Sting says it was surreal and the absolute highlight of his 40-year career.
“It was exactly as I envisioned it being. It was like a dream, a surreal kind of situation to actually witness it, even though I pictured it happening exactly the way it did. But an amazing night, and that’s why it just is going to be etched in my mind forever. It’s probably the highlight of 40 years for me.”
Steven, the son who portrayed nWo Wolfpac Sting, is now following in his father’s footsteps. Darby Allin is currently training Borden to be a wrestler. Learn more about that here.
