AJ Lee Skips With WWE Women’s IC Title After WWE SmackDown
The celebration wasn’t over for AJ Lee after SmackDown went off the air.
The September 5th episode of WWE SmackDown closed with AJ Lee making her return to television, marking the first time in over a decade that she had appeared in WWE.
Lee went after Becky Lynch, who had just got done slapping Lee’s husband CM Punk. Lee slapped Lynch, sending her packing up the aisle with her husband Seth Rollins.
Lee and Punk embraced in the ring as the show ended.
When the television cameras were no longer rolling, Lee and Punk continued to celebrate with Lee skipping around the ring while holding Lynch’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Lee posed on the turnbuckle with the title while Punk cheered her on from the outside.
