The Smashing Machine Debuts As One Of The Rock’s Highest Rated Projects Ever On Rotten Tomatoes

The Rock's foray into biopics has debuted well with critics.

‘The Smashing Machine’ has debuted at 100% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘The Smashing Machine’ is scheduled to release in theatres next month and will follow the life story of former MMA fighter Mark Kerr, with The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) featuring in the lead role of the movie produced by A24 Studios. The project is also set to feature the likes of Emily Blunt, as well as MMA fighters such as Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten and world champion boxer  Oleksandr Usyk in supporting roles.

When the movie first debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with eleven reviews, it was rated at 100%, making it one of the highest rated projects of The Rock’s acting career. However, at the time of this article being written, it now sits at 93% with fourteen reviews by critics.

“The Smashing Machine” opens in theaters on October 3rd.
