At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last month, Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) would take advantage of Ricochet and The Gates Of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) attacking Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate.
While speaking to the Battleground podcast, Bandido was asked about Brodido winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
“Now it means like- I need to take care of Brody. I really need to take care of me, you know? Now the tag team division is looking fast. So that’s amazing, and I’m very excited for the for the next months ahead, you know? I really want to do tag team matches with every tag team here in AEW.”
Later on during his appearance, Bandido was asked once again about the moment, noting his happiness at winning the gold.
“That was amazing. That was fantastic. In that moment, I was very happy, same as Brody, you know? We didn’t expect that moment, and we lived together for our first time, and that’s fantastic for both.”
