Nikki Bella Believes WWE Is Becoming More Open To Brie Bella Returning, ‘I Don’t Think Legacies Should Be Determined On Spouses’
Nikki Bella made her return to WWE at the Royal Rumble, entering at number 30 in the women’s Rumble match.
Though she was off of television for the first quarter of the year, she’s been back in the mix since before WWE Evolution, and is in a feud with Becky Lynch. Her twin sister Brie Bella has been notably absent, but Nikki still hopes Brie Mode is back at some point.
“I keep pushing it. All the women want her back and they keep asking me every week has that decision changed. I don’t think legacies should be determined on spouses, but I also understand business,” Nikki told Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated.
Brie has said that she believes her husband Bryan Danielson being involved with AEW has been a roadblock in her WWE return.
“I do think [WWE is] becoming more and more open to it. I understand it takes time and we just have to figure things out. There’s so much business to figure out, and Brie and I both completely understand that,” said Nikki.
Nikki Bella is set to challenge Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Clash in Paris.
