Kevin Owens Replacing Rey Mysterio As Grand Marshal For NASCAR’s Coke Zero Sugar 400

Owens is making an appearance.

It’d been advertised that WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio would be serving as the Grand Marshal for NASCAR’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 race on August 23rd. The race is taking place at Daytona International Speedway.

An update on this was provided by Daytona, and Rey Mysterio is no longer appearing. Kevin Owens will step in for him and will be the Grand Marshal for the event.

On July 18th, Owens underwent a successful surgery on his neck. The injury sidelined Owens and prevented him from facing Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 41.

Owens last wrestled at the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, where he defeated Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned match.
