Natalya: I Built Nattie Neidhart Alone, I Didn’t Wait For Anybody To Come To Me With An Idea

Natalya wasn’t going to wait around.
The emergence of Natalya’s Nattie Neidhart character has been one of the more fascinating wrestling stories of the year, with many fans arguing that the persona should show up in WWE.
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Natalya opened up about her passion for the Nattie character, touting that she built the persona by herself.
“I’m so passionate about Nattie and I’m so passionate about what I’ve built alone. I built Nattie alone, I didn’t have any help building her. This isn’t a diss to WWE, this isn’t a diss to anyone, this is just me speaking from the heart. I’ve worked on her alone. I didn’t wait for anybody to come to me with an idea, I didn’t wait for the machine to get behind it, I just wanted to build her and show everyone. Sometimes it’s so much easier to show people. I’ve been in WWE for a long time and I’m telling you, you can not wait for other people to hand you shit. You cannot wait for the writers to come up with a grandiose idea or for Triple H to be like, ‘Hey, I was thinking-‘ They have so much going on. This company, it’s moving so fast. Triple H has got like 18 jobs, he’s now got a job at the White House. He’s the busiest person I’ve ever met in my life next to Vince McMahon. Thankfully he’s young and he’s energetic and he’s able to do all of it, but I’m not going to wait for him to come up with the perfect idea for me. To me, those moments, you’ve got to find inspiration yourself. Nobody knows Nattie better than Nattie knows Nattie.”
Earlier this month, Natalya talked about her desire to bring the Nattie character to WWE. Check out her full comments here.
