CM Punk: Seth Rollins Even Lied To His Daughter, That’s The Kind Of Man I’m Dealing With

CM Punk reflects on SummerSlam.

The ‘Best In The World’ was finally able to capture gold again at SummerSlam, defeating Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship in a barn burner of a main event.

Moments later, it all came crashing down, as Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on Punk, taking the title from him.

Appearing on the latest episode of First Take, Punk was asked about the SummerSlam moment.

“I got the absolute dog crap beat out of me by Gunther. Not an enjoyable experience. You wind up not beating him, but surviving Gunther and now I’m the champion for the first time in 12 years and I think I’ve made it back to the top of the mountain and here comes old tiny tim limping out on his crutches. Turns out, it was all phony, he even lied to his daughter. That’s the kind of man I’m dealing with it.”

Punk also explained why he didn’t just run away from Rollins and his impending cash-in.

“Why didn’t I just run away is the question a lot of people are asking me and the simple answer is, I don’t run away. I also don’t think I could at that point, I was too exhausted.”

Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso will all challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash In Paris. Fans can check out the rest of the show’s lineup by clicking here.
