Konosuke Takeshita And EVIL Advance To NJPW G1 Climax 35 Finals

Konosuke Takeshita and EVIL will meet in the finals of the NJPW G1 Climax tournament.

Konosuke Takeshita and EVIL have advanced to the finals of the NJPW G1 Climax 35 tournament.

On August 16th, New Japan Pro Wrestling held night 18 of their G1 Climax 35 tournament in which two semi finals would take place. First, EVIL would face off with Yota Tsuji.

In the first semi final bout, EVIL would score the victory after hitting Yota with a crucifix bomb before locking in the Darkness Scorpion submission. Due to Tsuji not being able to defend himself, the referee would call the match, leading to EVIL advancing to the finals via referee stoppage.

In the second semi final, Konosuke Takeshita took on IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. The AEW star would end up coming away with the victory after hitting a brain buster, a knee and a top rope Raging Fire to put away the champion.

Takeshita last competed on AEW programming back at AEW All In last month, where he would compete during the event’s Casino Gauntlet match.
