Details On Ashante Thee Adonis And His Departure From WWE

Ashante Thee Adonis is gone from WWE, with his contract expiring on August 10.
Ashante was among the numerous WWE talent brought back to WWE in the summer of 2022. A ton of them at that time signed three-year contracts to return, which most of would be up around now had a number not already been released. With Ashante aka Tehuti Miles, his was a contract expiration. Those in WWE we’ve spoken to claim that he was informed a couple of weeks prior that his contract would be allowed to expire. He had not been used on WWE TV since.
WWE sources claimed that Ashante had remained on a WWE main roster contract, despite ending up on NXT for the last year. He got a lot of praise internally at NXT from those we spoke to about always working to improve, with numerous noting that in addition to working at the Performance Center, he was going out and training on his own time as well.
He is immediately able to take bookings as his contract expired. There is no wait period.
We’ve already heard of a few names in TNA who have said that they would like for him to make appearances there. He wrestled there in January against Jake Something. Before joining WWE, he had few matches in ROH under previous ownership, and was an MCW regular.
