Logan Paul Says He’s Disappointed In John Cena’s Face Turn, ‘I Think You Should’ve Picked A Lane’

Logan Paul reacts to John Cena’s face turn.

On the SmackDown before SummerSlam, John Cena made the shocking decision to revert back to a babyface, just months after turning heel.

Cena went on to lose to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. After the show, he was attacked by Brock Lesnar.

On the following Friday, Cena agreed to face Logan Paul at WWE Clash In Paris. Speaking on an episode of the Impaulsive podcast that was recorded two days after SummerSlam, Paul reacted to Cena’s turn, saying that he is in the midst of a midlife crisis.

“I’m a little disappointed in Cena, personally like as a fan and as a guy who knows him. I saw the heel turn and I was like, ‘Alright, welcome to the bright side. You can just be yourself and people will accept you for that.’ But then the switch up back to trying to be a babyface makes me feel like he’s seeking outside validation and he’s being guided by the audience instead of himself. It feels like to me, we’re watching a midlife crisis happen live. I’m serious. I loved loved John Cena, we had a tag and I got to work with him a little bit and see what he was really like. I wish he would be more like me and just be himself. I’m serious. I think he needs to just like find yourself and stop trying to like please the crowd for your own personal validation. I just think you should’ve just picked a lane and stayed in it. Like I said, who are you? Do you even know? Are you just doing it because the final boss says it or Triple H says it? Are you being puppeteered by the powers that be? Why don’t you just be yourself and be The GOAT John Cena? I saw that fade a little bit and I have to say, I’m not into it.”
