Donovan Dijak Wants Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) In CMLL With Him

Donovan Dijak wants to see his MLW tag team partner, Bishop Dyer (WWE’s Baron Corbin), join him in CMLL.
Donovan Dijak is one of the many men on Team International in the upcoming CMLL International Grand Prix. Before the event, he participated in a media scrum for CMLL. During the interviews, Fightful Español’s Luis Pulido asked Dijak if there were any independent wrestlers he had seen in his travels that he would like to see in CMLL.
Perhaps no surprise, Dijak named the man he’s currently holding the Major League Wrestling World Tag Team Championships with, Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE. Dijak says that while Dyer has wrestled for Mexican crowds as part of WWE, the CMLL crowd would be a different experience for him. It is a challenge that Dijak thinks Dyer could rise to.
“That’s a great question. The clear and obvious answer to me is my tag team partner, Bishop Dyer. I would suspect that he’s wrestled in Mexico before, just because he was in WWE on the main roster for a very long time. I can’t confirm that. I don’t know with certainty, but I know he’s never wrestled for CMLL, so I’m super excited for the opportunity for him to venture down to debut himself in Arena Mexico, I assume. I’m guessing that that’s probably the case. Maybe even defend our Tag Team Championships across the country. I think that would be a tremendous thing. I think that the Mexican fans, and specifically the CMLL fans, would be incredibly receptive to him and to us as a Tag Team Championship pairing. So yeah, I think that’s my, my number one answer by far.”
Dijak and Dyer are known as the Skyscrapers, a new age take on a tag team name that once belonged to competitors like Sid Vicious and The Undertaker.
