WWE SmackDown (8/8) Records Increase In Viewership Against NFL Preseason Action

WWE SmackDown viewership information for the August 8, 2025 episode.

Programming Insider reports that WWE SmackDown on August 8 drew 1.557 million viewers on USA Network. This number is down from the 1.544 million viewers the show drew on Friday, August 1.

Friday’s episode scored a 0.48 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, also down from the 0.46 rating that the show recorded last Friday. The show finished #2 for the night on cable, only losing out to the Browns/Panthers preseason game on the NFL Network. That game recorded 2.237 million viewers and a 0.61 rating in the key demographic.

SmackDown was the second show after the two-night SummerSlam premium live event. The show featured John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa, Charlotte Flair, R-Truth, Chelsea Green, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, and manu more.
