Sami Zayn Makes Surprise Appearance On WWE SmackDown, Receives Monster Cheer In Montreal

Sami Zayn made his return to Montreal and WWE SmackDown, taking on Solo Sikoa.
Sikoa thought his night was over after Talla Tonga & JC Matteo defeated the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), but SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis had other ideas, introducing Sami to a huge reaction.

Zayn overcame the numbers game, scoring a roll up victory on Sikoa after ducking the samoan spike. Ahead of the finish, Zayn knocked Matteo off the apron and didn’t bite on Talla’s presence on the other side of the ring.
Unfortunately for Zayn, the WWE US Title wasn’t on the line.

Zayn is part of WWE Raw, but the brand split rules have been relaxed throughout the year as superstars have gone from brand to brand without issue.
