Último Guerrero: The Best Version of Guerreros was Guerreros del Infierno
Último Guerrero spoke with Luis Pulido of Fightful, explaining what he considered the best version of Los Guerreros.
A legend in the world of Lucha Libre, Ultimo Guerrero is the current MLW National Openweight Champion. He defeated Matthew Justice to win that title in Arena Mexico on May 2, 2025. Part of his most successful run was with multiple variations of Los Guerreros.
Guerrero has led multiple versions of that group, including Guerreros Negros, Guerreros del Infierno, the many versions of Guerreros del Atlantida, and is currently part of Guerreros Laguneros (alongside Stuka Jr. & his brother Gran Guerrero).
Speaking with Luis Pulido of Fightful, Guerrero told us that the best version was Guerrero del Infierno, alongside his long-term tag team partner, Rey Bucanero & Toscano (who also went by Tarzan Boy during his time with the group). He stated the following:
“I say that when you are young, you want to eat the world, you are getting a lot of good things, and you are making your name known. I think the best moment was with Rey Bucanero and Tarzan Boy (Toscano), it was the best trios version of Los Guerreros. It was where we made history, it was where this grouping of the Guerreros, whether that be de la Atlántida, whether that be laguneros, whether that be Guerreros del Infierno, the group has made its mark. That’s the mark of Los Guerreros, with obviously, this last facet, being Los Guerreros Laguneros, I am now living it with more maturity, with more knowledge, with more bite. But without a doubt, the best version was Rey Bucanero, Tarzan Boy, and me, simply Los Guerreros del Infierno.”
Guerrero held the CMLL World Tag Titles three times with Rey Bucanero as part of the group, setting the record for World Tag Title defense record in 2005 before Hermanos Chavez broke the record in 2024. He also held the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title in that timeframe.
