Becky Lynch is blown away by how long it’s been since her last appearance at WWE SummerSlam.
Becky has competed at SummerSlam several times over the past few years, and also had some of her biggest moments across her career, including her turn as The Man and her return to the company in 2021 following the birth of her daughter.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated in a new interview, Becky Lynch spoke about her history at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
“It was my first PLE. It was where the infamous slap happened that really catapulted my career. It was also where I came back after I had my daughter and beat Bianca Belair in 26 seconds. And then a year later we were tearing the house down and then fighting side-by-side… I’m kind of blown away that it’s been three years since I wrestled at a SummerSlam.”
At this year’s edition of WWE SummerSlam, Becky will take on Lyra Valkyria in a no disqualification match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, marking the completion of the pair’s rivalry with one another that kicked off in the wake of Lynch’s WrestleMania return.
