Drew McIntyre Blames Jelly Roll After Travel Mishap Could Cause Him To Miss SummerSlam
Drew McIntyre says he’s stranded in England and that there’s a chance he might not make it to WWE SummerSlam.
Drew McIntyre traveled to England for a friend’s wedding after WWE Friday Night SmackDown and posted a video to his X account on Sunday, July 27, 2025, stating that he was still in England because he had not been allowed to travel without his passport. McIntyre says he shared pictures of his passport and his Global Entry and that those at the airport knew who he was, but they wouldn’t allow him to fly.
Also in his video, he playfully teases that Jelly Roll is the reason this happened to him. Jelly Roll is supposed to team with Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre on WWE SummerSlam Saturday.
“It’s quite the week I’ve had. Do you want to know how it’s been capped off? I can’t get back in America. They wouldn’t let me board my flight. Look at the scenic countryside. Does that look like an American scenic countryside? No, I’m in England, still at my buddy’s wedding. What a wedding it was. I was planning to go back and train for SummerSlam. But no, I got blocked.”
He revealed that he allowed his wife to return to America without him to tend to their sick cat before turning his attention to SummerSlam and cracking a joke that Jelly Roll will one day put on all the weight he’s lost and look like one of the cows in the countryside where he is.
“So what happened? What changed this trip? Jelly Roll, you know somebody? You got some connections. You got your 15 minutes of fame right now; you can get away with some stuff. You’re hot, soon you will not be, so you’re getting in while you can, yeah. You realized when I took off my shirt on SmackDown, you went, ‘Oh my God, all that aura, I’m screwed.’ So you screw up my training for SummerSlam week. Why am I in a field? I don’t know why I’m in a field. I can tell you one thing: when this is all over and I’m gonna get back, I’m gonna drop you, Jelly Roll, I’m gonna make you pay, and eventually you’re gonna gain all that weight back. You’re gonna look like one of these fuckers.”
