Brian Gewirtz Remembers Hulk Hogan, Says Entire Raw After WrestleMania 18 Was Rewritten Due to Ovation

The wrestling world lost Hulk Hogan on Thursday, July 24th at the age of 71.
Hogan provided wrestling fans with many memorable moments throughout his career, with one of the most memorable taking place at WrestleMania X8 when Hogan battled The Rock in a match billed as Icon vs. Icon.
Though Hogan entered the match as a heel, he left as a babyface as the Toronto crowd flipped during the match.
The following night on WWE Raw, Hogan received a raucous ovation that caused the entire show to be re-written according to former writer Brian Gewirtz.
“Underrated favorite Hulk Hogan moments. Teaming with Roddy Piper at MSG in 1986 (blew my mind). Match with the Genius on SNME (massively entertaining). Mr. America lie detector seg (2nd fav Hogan promo I worked on). Rewriting entire Raw in Gorilla night after WM18 due to ovation, Gewirtz wrote on social media.
