Bryan Danielson talks the most underrated match of his wrestling career.

Bryan Danielson names the most underrated match of his wrestling career so far.
Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr have met on several occasions dating back as far as 2008, while they have also met as recently as last year in New Japan Pro Wrestling. In their The New Beginning In Osaka event in February of last year, Zack Sabre Jr would defeat Bryan Danielson after a thirty minute bout between the pair.
While speaking to The Sun Sport in a new interview, Danielson named the most underrated match of his career, naming a 2024 bout with Zack Sabre Jr in NJPW.
“One of my favorite just, pure ‘I got to do this’ wrestling matches was a match I had with Zack Sabre Jr. at a New Japan show last year in February. Zack is this incredible technical wrestler and it just felt… it felt like I was in this flow state where we’re just- we’re doing some wrestling that I’ve never- I haven’t done wrestling like that and it’s because of the person that I was in the ring with and things just come into your brain as you’re doing it. You’re doing these wild, crazy, technical things that I enjoy. But that was a match that I really enjoyed.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Danielson named his match with Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 as the hardest of his career. You can read more about that here.
