Diego Hill Reflects On MLW Contract Offer After Match With KUSHIDA

Diego Hill reflects on receiving an MLW contract after wrestling KUSHIDA at MLW Summer of the Beasts.

At MLW Summer of the Beasts, Diego Hill signed with MLW after earning a contract offer immediately following his match. Cesar Duran offered the deal, and Hill accepted on the spot. Now, he’s reflecting on what the moment meant to him and sharing his goals within the company.

Diego Hill spoke about the experience with Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds. He admitted the moment left him speechless, as he felt shocked that MLW had even been watching him. He also called it a teachable moment for his students, emphasizing the importance of giving your best effort every time an opportunity arises.

“I was speechless. I never thought in my pro wrestling years, going on five and a half years now, expecting a big company like MLW to get eyes on me, get an opportunity, and immediately signing me after a performance. That’s one of the reasons why I always tell my students, every opportunity you get, you have to give it your best. If you don’t, you never know if you’ll get that chance again. Thankfully, I was given that chance.”

As for his goals now that he has signed to MLW, Diego, quite simply, wants to be a history-maker. He has his eyes set on becoming a champion and has goals within his goals. Not only does he want to win a championship belt in MLW, but he also hopes to have the opportunity to hold multiple titles simultaneously and break records with the length of his reigns.

“My goal is to make history in MLW. Not just wrestle the legends and top stars, but becoming a champion, becoming the longest reigning champion, a double champion. Do the impossible. Make history, whether it be something old or new, I want to go for it and I want Diego Hill’s name on it.”
