Kevin Knight Praises KUSHIDA: He Taught Me How To Carry Yourself And How To Prepare For An Upcoming Match
KUSHIDA was essential to the growth of Kevin Knight.
Before establishing his JetSpeed team with Mike Bailey in AEW, Kevin Knight formed a team with KUSHIDA in 2022. Primarily competing in NJPW, the Intergalactic Jet Setters are former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and have faced top teams like United Empire, Bullet Club, Los Ingobernables de Japon, and The Kingdom.
Chatting with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Knight praised KUSHIDA for teaching him how to carry himself and prepare for upcoming bouts.
“Man, a lot of the stuff that he taught me was outside—how to carry yourself, how to prepare for a upcoming match, whether it’s mentally, physically, spiritually, Kushida is a very, very spiritually in tune guy. Even though he doesn’t speak much English and I don’t know the ins and outs speaking all the Japanese, but we have such a good connection. He’s been doing this for a long time. I can just watch him and learn so much from him. Just how to carry yourself outside of the wrestling ring professionally, how to treat fans. We did so many signings together, so it was dope to see how he is with other people. So you learned a lot just from watching.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Knight talked about wrestling for NJPW during the pandemic. His full comments on the matter can be found by clicking here.
