Zack Sabre Jr On Konosuke Takeshita: It’s Easy To Say He’s A Guy Everybody Wants To Wrestle

Zack Sabre Jr previews his upcoming G1 Climax bout with Konosuke Takeshita.

On July 30th, Zack Sabre Jr is scheduled to face off with AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita in Osaka, Japan as part of this years G1 Climax tournament. While the pair have met in multi man tag team action, this will be the first time the two men meet one on one.

While speaking to NJPW ahead of the G1 Climax, Zack was asked about a range of topics, including his upcoming match against Takeshita, noting that it’s easy to say ‘he’s a guy everybody wants to wrestle’.

“He’s a one of a kind athlete, and it’s a one of a kind situation for him. Three contracts, three companies, two countries. Championships, major tournaments, all of that. It’s easy to say he’s a guy everybody wants to wrestle. And it’s a totally fresh matchup for me as well.”

Sabre Jr was then asked about the match being a rare fresh matchup for Zack in this stage of his career.

“Right, I’ve been in NJPW long enough that I have wrestled almost everybody, so this is something I’m really excited for.”
