Triple H Shuts Down ‘One More Match’ Chants, ‘It Would Be The Last Thing I Do’
Chant all you want, Triple H is never returning to the ring.
Triple H retired abruptly in 2022 after having emergency heart surgery and a health scare where he was rapidly approaching heart failure. Still, because it’s professional wrestling, fans are going to chant for one more match. Especially the fans in Saudi Arabia, where Triple H had one of his final singles matches against Randy Orton.
During the WWE Night of Champions 2025 post-show, Triple H responded to chants calling for him to step into the squared circle one more time, making it abundantly clear that he would never wrestle again.
“You can chant that all you want, there ain’t one more match in this. You know how they say, ‘if it’s the last thing I do?’ It would be the last thing I do.”
