Steve Maclin Reveals Meaning Behind Blue Strap On TNA International Championship Belt

Steve Maclin explains the significance of the blue strap on the TNA International Championship belt.
Steve Maclin is the inaugural TNA International Champion, and he takes pride in making that championship the symbol of the hardest-working member of the roster. The championship belt, unveiled at TNA Under Siege in May 2025, features a light blue strap that is distinct from the other TNA championship belts.
In a conversation with MuscleManMalcolm, Maclin explained that the blue strap represents the oceans, which connect all nations.
“There’s a lot of meaning behind the title when they put thought into it. Obviously, for being an International Title, you’ve got all the countries that are on there represented, but then also the blue is supposed to represent the ocean. So that connects all those countries all over the globe. I don’t mind it. The blue really brings out the blue in my eyes. So it goes well, and it’s different.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Maclin remarked that he wants Eddie Edwards to challenge him for the championship when TNA heads to New England for shows in Rhode Island. Read more here.
The returning Jake Something also has his eyes on that particular championship. Learn more about a potential impending showdown between Maclin and Something here.
