Joe Hendry On Dream Music Collab: John Cena Has Travis Scott, I’ve Got Lil Yachty

John Cena has Travis Scott, but Joe Hendry has Lil Yachty.

The connection between the music world and professional wrestling propelled the WWE to new heights and played a key role in launching the first WrestleMania. Over four decades later, the connection between music and professional wrestling is still strong. Travis Scott just helped John Cena win his 17th WWE World Championship over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

Another name connecting the worlds of music and professional wrestling is Joe Hendry. Hendry was recently asked about his dream musical collaborations during an interview with Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge. Not only did he mention that he has spoken to a world-famous rock band, but he also stated that the name he wants to collaborate with the most is Lil Yachty.  He said that he’s gotten the chance to go out on tour with him and that they have discussed a potential collab.

“There’s a world-famous rock band that I’ve kind of talked to, but for collaborations, the one I’d like to do most is actually Lil Yachty. He’s a good friend of mine. I was fortunate enough to join him on tour, but he was in the UK. I got to see his process. I got to go down to the stage with him and kind of watch the show from there. Me and him talked about wrestling, about music, and we’ve discussed maybe doing a collaboration of some kind. This is your headline: John Cena has Travis Scott, but you know what? Joe Hendry and Lil Yachty, that’s a tag team right there.”

Joe even said, “Never say never” when the idea of a tag team match against Cena and Scott was mentioned playfully.

Lil Yachty has discussed his love of professional wrestling in the past. Learn more about his passion for sports entertainment here

As for Travis Scott, Cody Rhodes is still waiting to give him a receipt for WWE Elimination Chamber when he was in the ring as John Cena turned heel.
