Former WWE Chief Of Staff Recounts Being Let Go From The Company, Nick Khan Staying In Contact & Taking Care Of Her

Co-host of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast and former WWE Chief of Staff speaks about her exit from WWE.

The former WWE employee opened up about her exit.

Joining Stephanie McMahon for a recording of her ‘What’s Your Story?’ podcast was WWE President Nick Khan.

McMahon co-hosts the podcast with Elyse Dudzinski, who served as WWE’s Chief of Staff from November 2022 until February 2023. Dudzinski opened up about being let go from the company and how much of a toll it took on her.

Dudzinski said that because she worked with Stephanie and Nick, she was feeling some ‘PTSD’ while recording the podcast. Khan chimed in and said Dudzinski still works with Stephanie, so that PTSD should be placed on him. Dudzinski added that Khan stayed in touch with her during those rough patches of her life and took care of her.

Dudzinski: “I know I’ve, at some point in time, thanked you probably via text but, I was working here for both of you so I’m having a little PTSD right now.”

Khan: “That’s another… You still work with Steph so, that’s directed at me — the PTSD.”

McMahon: “You were our Chief of Staff.”

Dudzinski: “I was, and then I wasn’t and I was going through a pretty rough time and you were somebody who was checking in on me, very often, just to see life after WWE. ‘How are you doing? What do you need?’ And you’re in the middle of WWE, WrestleMania, sale, everything going on and you were still making this effort just to check in, which meant a lot to me, and then, I kind of hit a point where I was applying for jobs. I couldn’t get an Administrative Assistant (job) and I’m like, ‘But I was just a Chief of Staff. What do I do here?’ And you took the time to meet with me and following that meeting, you, again, made sure I was taken care of and I just feel that that speaks to your loyalty and you know, I only got to know you –”

McMahon: “Elyse, what did you say you did when you found out?”

Dudzinski: “I literally dropped to my knees and started hysterically crying, because just one kind gesture meant so much to my family, so much to me, and I instantly reached out to thank you that I just — only when we were talking about how loyal you are, I’m like, I felt that. I felt it personally so, thank you again. It’s crazy how it worked out because it whirled into Stephanie’s Places and now this podcast so…”

Khan: “Now you’re a big shot podcaster… It’s nice of you to say all those things but, I do because I wanna do. Not for anybody to know about it. I appreciate you saying it. But I think I do what any reasonable person would do.”

McMahon: “I disagree…”

In the same interview, Khan spoke about learning from mistakes and how he and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque make mistakes on the business side every day.
