Dean Malenko Sends Shinjiro Otani WCW Cruiserweight Title Belt That They Wrestled For In 1996

Otani received a great gift from Malenko.

A gift from Malenko to Otani.

Shinjiro Otani posted a photo of himself on X with the WCW Cruiserweight Championship belt. Otani noted in his caption that Dean Malenko sent him the belt.

In May 1996, Otani and Malenko wrestled for the title and Malenko emerged victorious. 

Otani noted that Malenko sent the belt to referee Masao Tayama and Tayama delivered it to him. 

In April 2022 while competing in a match, Otani took a German suplex into a turnbuckle pad which left him paralyzed from the neck down.
