Cody Rhodes Reflects On ALL IN With Nick Aldis: “We Were The Ones That Got To Steal The Show On A Show We Weren’t Supposed To Steal”

Cody Rhodes states that it was the loudest the arena got that night.
Rhodes looks back on ALL IN.
Present day, Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis are with WWE as talent and on-screen General Manager respectively, but their history dates back to when they were feuding over the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
A high point of their program took place at ALL IN in 2018 where Rhodes defeated Aldis to become NWA Worlds Champion. Rhodes looked back on that on the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast and feels they stole a show that they were not supposed to steal.
“I thought Nick (Aldis) was such a fun experience because ALL IN, that was the loudest the arena got that night and I don’t think we were the match that was meant to get them that loud, and I remember having a sense of just competitive pride. Not ego, not mad at anybody — that we were the ones that got to steal the show on a show we weren’t supposed to steal.”
Rhodes is back in the fold of WWE programming after losing the Undisputed WWE Title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41. Both Cena and Rhodes are scheduled for the 5/30 Friday Night SmackDown.
