Hiroshi Tanahashi Releases Book About Becoming President Of NJPW

A book about Hiroshi Tanahashi becoming President of NJPW and his future goals for the company

Tanahashi documents his journey before retirement.

It was in December 2023 that eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi was appointed as President of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Tanahashi has remained an active member of the talent roster while handling duties on the corporate side. He is set to retire from in-ring competition at Wrestle Kingdom 2026. 

Tanahashi has documented the last year as President of NJPW and is releasing a book about it. It includes an interview with Bushiroad CEO Takaaki Kidani.

The book covers behind-the-scenes details of Tanahashi’s appointment as President, what his daily life consists of as talent and management, his excitement for global expansion and what he plans to do after retirement. The book is available to purchase for 1,300 Japanese Yen (approximately $9 USD).

Tanahashi is scheduled to be in action at NJPW Dominion on June 15th where he’ll be facing Yuya Uemura.
