Dricus Du Plessis To Defend UFC Middleweight Title Against Khamzat Chimaev At UFC 319

The main event is set for UFC 319. 

Dana White announced Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev will clash for the UFC Middleweight Championship at UFC 319 on August 16. 

Chimaev is undefeated at 14-0 and coming off victories over Kamaru Usman and Robert Whittaker. Du Plessis is undefeated in the UFC at 9-0. He has made two successful title defenses since winning the belt from Sean Strickland at UFC 297. He submitted Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 and defeated Strickland in a rematch at UFC 312.
