On the March 7th episode of WWE SmackDown, Los Garza (Berto and Angel) competed in a Number One Contender’s Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. They faced Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) and the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). Pretty Deadly ultimately emerged victorious.
Backstage, Santos Escobar scolded Los Garza and said that something needed to change. He said that he wasn’t asking; instead, he was demanding. After Escobar walked away, Andrade spoke with Berto and told him that he deserved better. He told Berto not to let Escobar talk to him like that.

Berto and Angel have been in the tag team title picture in recent months, but they have struggled to string together wins.
