Report: AEW Getting 50% Venue Discount For Path To All In Summer Series In Arlington, Texas

AEW is reportedly getting a discount for the Path To All In Summer Series.

On Thursday, June 6, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics published a report detailing some of the inner workings behind AEW’s upcoming residency in Arlington, Texas.

According to Thurston, the promotion is paying a discounted rate  to run five episodes of Collision and the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view at Arlington’s Esports Stadium. AEW will reportedly pay the venue a total of $120,000 for the series. The Arlington Expo Center will pay $112,000.

Thurston also obtained a event schedule that included ROH TV taping dates of Sunday, July 28 and Friday, August 16. As of publish time, those dates have yet to be confirmed. In the initial press release, the promotion noted that additional ROH dates would be announced in the near future.

City records obtained by Thurston state that the venue will be scaled for 1,290 seats with an average ticket price of $45.02, meaning that the maximum gate for one show would be $58,000.

Thurston was also able to reportedly obtain email records between AEW and staff from the government in Arlington. Those records reveal that there was some initial discussion about letting NJPW or CMLL run shows on the days that AEW is not using the venue. The topic was last discussed on May 14, when Ryan Seddon, AEW’s VP of Global Touring, told venue staff that AEW was focused on getting their ‘ducks in a row’.
